Cafe. Every child will take home a recipe book at the end of the
camp with all the delicious snacks the kids have prepared over the
two weeks.
Design on a Dime
June 29-July 10
Be an architect, city planner or home
designer! Imagine, plan, dream, build, create and design your own
city, building, playscape or house. Our little designers will purchase
their supplies at the TLC store for their project with the money
they earn from their occupation. They will design their project
on a budget. So, how big will your city or house be? Where will
you put the trees and parks? Who will live in your city or house?
So many questions, so many possibilities...so much fun!
Wonders of Nature
July 13-24
Young scientists will investigate how
caterpillars"magically" turn into butterflies, how some
bugs always win at hide and seek and how ants can carry up to 50
times their own body weight. Our young scientists will get to meet
and feed an ant lion and observer and study insects, rodents, land
formations, mosses, trees, and birds. Two weeks of anything and
everything about nature.
Eco Kids July

Even young kids can go green! Our eco
kids will build a mini-solar oven and cook a snack in it. Our eco
kids will filter water, compost with worms, explore wind power and
make recycled paper in this hands-on camp about being a good citizen
of the earth. We will study about recycling and how much trash one
person produces in a year. All of our art projects will be from
recycled household items.
A Hui Hui August

Our campers will revisit
their favorite projects, games and activities over the summer. We
will have splash day, movies, and board games. Our campers will
say "Aloha" to summer and "Aloha" to back to
school - Hawaiian style. We will celebrate the end of the summer
camp with a huge Luau complete with grass skirts, coconuts and flower
leis.
